Valentine's Day Phone Backgrounds

I am one of those girls who actually loves Valentine's Day. I may be single, but that definitely doesn't mean I can't enjoy a holiday devoted to love and chocolate.  I always take time to decorate for Valentine's Day and enjoy a day full of chocolate, chick flicks, and time with people I love.
So be a rebel this year and fall in love with the world's most hated holiday! Tell your friends and family you love them, and give out Valentine's like it's a 3rd grade class party.
To help you get into the Valentine's Day spirit, I made 6 fun phone backgrounds for y'all to use!

How are you celebrating this Valentine's Day? Share your plans with me, I love to hear about cute Valentine's Day plans!

With lots of LOVE,
Hannah

PS- Just wanted to apologize for not posting much lately! I've been very ill and struggling to get better, and I just haven't had energy to blog. Hopefully I'll be back at it all the time soon!

Monday Motivation- Peace

Happy Monday, y'all. I hope this week finds you healthy,  happy, and most of all--- at peace.
I've been struggling lately with finding peace throughout my struggle with my health, and I keep looking to God for help. The more time I spend praising God for the good in my life and being mindful of my blessings, the more at peace I am.
So I thought I'd share this with you:

Because I sometimes need a constant reminder, I made this in the size of an iPhone background, so you can save it for your phone and be constantly reminded of Christ's presence in YOUR life!

I think for a while I felt like it was harder to have peace and strength when I was going through something, but I'm learning that recognizing Christ's presence is enough to bring me true peace and happiness at any time.

How do you get through difficult times? I think I learn a little more with every day that I struggle.

Stay beautiful,
Hannah

Goodreads- What are YOU reading?

Happy (Super Bowl) Sunday! I'm not a big football fan (sorry y'all, I just have a hard time getting into it) so I'm hoping to spend this Sunday reading and relaxing.

I just invested in a Kindle this week, and I'm really enjoying reading more. To help keep up with this goal, I'm getting back into Goodreads, which is like a social network for book lovers.

I really like Goodreads because it's a great way to find what to read next. You can peruse lists that have themes,  look at what your friends are reading, and even get recommendations from the site.

Listopia is my favorite feature because you can search by what you feel like reading. Want to read chick-lit? There are lists for that. Really into dystopian  fiction after reading The Hunger Games? There's a list or two for that, too. Some of the list themes are really creative. I like this one for February, since Valentine's Day is coming up:

Anyway, join me on Goodreads so we can swap recommendations and such!

I'm currently reading:

What are you reading? Are you on Goodreads? Find me and I'll friend you!

Rheumatoid Awareness Day- The First Ever Day in Recognition of this Chronic Illness, and What YOU Can Do!

I just wanted to bring some attention to Rheumatoid Awareness Day, which is going on today.
While I don't have RA, I am experienced with the condition as I know a few people living with it, and I truly believe it is a disease that needs awareness brought to it.  So today I'm asking you to take a few minutes to educate yourself!

This is part of the press release put out by the Rheumatoid Patient Foundation:

Rheumatoid Patient Foundation (RPF) announces the establishment of Rheumatoid Awareness Day to be held each year on February 2, giving people with the chronic illness known as rheumatoid arthritis, or rheumatoid disease, a day of recognition. Because the disease is commonly presumed to be a type of arthritis, awareness is lacking, causing problems with disability accommodations, clinical care, healthcare reimbursement and research funding.February 2 already boasts the observance of Groundhog Day, from which several analogies can be drawn to rheumatoid disease. “Compare disease onset to the moment the groundhog comes out of his hole to look for his shadow,” says Kelly Young, founder of the RPF. “It’s impossible to predict how aggressive the disease will be or whether treatments will be effective. The six weeks that the groundhog forecasts correspond to the short window of opportunity for people with rheumatoid disease to get early diagnosis and treatment, which has been shown to be a crucial component of positive outcome.”

I'm also going to share a few of the graphics provided by the RPF to help you better understand this illness!

This is one of my favorite quotes and it is so applicable to this day! Educating yourself and better understanding what Rheumatoid patients deal with every day will help you to be kinder and more understanding!

Now that you know a little more about Rheumatoid Arthritis, consider passing this on or donating to help fund research and awareness for this disease.
If you donate HERE before February 5th, Crescendo Bioscience will match your donation to the Rheumatoid Patient Foundation!

Thanks for reading this, and taking the time to educate yourself. Education about misunderstood illnesses such as this one makes such a big difference in legislature, patient care, and daily interactions with others for patients.

Hope you're all happy and healthy!

Saturday Instagram Link Up Week 5

Link up with Sara at Pearls & Curls

Hey y'all! Happy Saturday! I'm house sitting for about 2 weeks for my family while my parents are off in Hawaii, so there will be lots of photos of my sweet puppies. Here's the week in review!

On Wednesday I bit the bullet and ordered a Kindle. I'll share my thoughts on it soon, but  it's been great so far!

My sweet Grace Face.

Julep Maven Box for February. I went with Bombshell this time and I'm glad I did because the Oxygen Nail Treatment is incredible! It's like a hydrating nail treatment that comes off like a subtle pale pink polish. In love.

My Kindle arrived on Friday!

This is from last summer. I've been dreaming of Kiawah, SC all week. Ready to go back and enjoy drinks on the beach and my 21st birthday!

More Gracie. How cute is she?

My crazy, wild Friday night. Grilled cheese, tomato soup, and Project Runway.
Juno getting ready for bed--- we can't relax until she has her Elmo with her. She used to keep him around all day but her butthead little sister likes to steal her and Juno gets REALLY mean about it. So now he's just around for bedtime.

So that's been my week!
Hope y'all are happy and healthy.
Stay beautiful,
Hannah
